of Direct Network Attached Storage devices: CDs or DVDs
are transferred from a drive to a hard disk. The disc contents
are then immediately available for instant access to all
connected users.

Autonomous
Network
CD/DVD Servers are independent network appliances, i.e. the server
communicates directly with the client, minimising network traffic.
As the server is directly plugged into an Ethernet network, performance
and availability of the files do not depend on the server specifications.

Scalable
Many servers feature multiple connectors, RJ45
connectors for network connection and data interface connectors
(such as SCSI, FC. USB etc.) for upgrading capacity by adding other
devices. When the server has reached its maximum capacity of extension,
it is possible to plug other servers onto the network, allowing
headroom (future expansion capacity) as your requirements grow.
