| The
AXIS StorPoint CD servers of CD-ROM servers allows you to
effortlessly share CD-ROMs over all networks regardless of
system or speed. |
These
products are true "plug 'n play" solutions that
turn CD-ROM drives, towers and jukeboxes into network resources.
Place it where needed and connect up to seven CD-ROM drives
and 56 discs to each unit, or up to 14 drives or 112 discs
using the Dual SCSI version.
They are completely file server independent and include native
and simultaneous support for NetWare, Microsoft (3.x, NT,
'95), OS/2, UNIX and Web clients. The AXIS StorPoint CD gives
you high-performance access today and with the newest 10/100
model will provide a seamless upgrade path to Fast Ethernet
CD-ROM sharing tomorrow. |

LaCie
CD Towers
|
The
LaCie range of Network CD Towers
incorporate the AXIS technology into the system casing.
The towers are of a rigid all-steel construction with the
AXIS components built as an integral part of the chassis
and not into a free 5.25" bay. This leaves 7 free SCSI-2
bays for CD-ROM drives giving the maximum drives-to-StorPoint
ratio for a single bus unit.
There
are a number of CD-ROM drives options also available. 7
or more Single CD drive units giving a maximum of seven
or more CDs simultaneously, or 7 or more Nakamichi 5
CD Autochangers giving a maximum of 35 or more CDs contained
simultaneously in a single tower.
The
dual SCSI bus towers are identical to the single bus tower
options but have the additional facility to daisy-chain
directly from the tower to further CD-ROM drives or towers,
thus increasing the number of CDs available to the Axis
StorePoint without need for an additional server unit. Any
standard SCSI CD-ROM device can be used.
